Gosport United's Ibrahim Ngoka proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save Gosport United from getting a goal against them. Malcolm Manyim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ibrahim Ngoka having to interfere. 9 minutes into the game, one of Gosport United:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Gosport United:s Ibrahim Ngoka showed great skill when he stopped Raymond Cheruiyot:s penalty. 12 minutes into the game, Malcolm Manyim cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Ibrahim Ngoka was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 24 played minutes Nairobi Soccer Stars got a freekick which was hit by Njeri Wangila. Pius Osyanju hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. 31 minutes into the game, one of Gosport United:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Ibrahim Ngoka, was totally fooled by Nairobi Soccer Stars's Raymond Cheruiyot, who 33 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. The supporters of Nairobi Soccer Stars booed when Gosport United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Philip Uche didn't get a good kick on the ball. Curtis Mwaura received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Ibrahim Ngoka tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Malcolm Manyim to strike the kick off in the second half. Mwai Otieno charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mwai Otieno the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ibrahim Ngoka took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Malcolm Manyim, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Malcolm Manyim in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ibrahim Ngoka saved Gosport United from getting behind. Philip Uche kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Curtis Mwaura in the 72nd minute of play forced Gosport United's goalkeeper Ibrahim Ngoka to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nairobi Soccer Stars's Curtis Mwaura got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ibrahim Ngoka showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Curtis Mwaura in the 77th minute of the match. A collision led to Nairobi Soccer Stars getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Eliud Ereng hit a great ball. A collision led to Gosport United getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Abdallah Ali Kiptum hit a great ball. Ibrahim Ngoka stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Malcolm Manyim's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Curtis Mwaura in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ibrahim Ngoka prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 91st minute, Curtis Mwaura ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ibrahim Ngoka was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Nairobi Soccer Stars's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
