An unexpectedly hard shot by Elijah Keino in the 8th minute of play forced Hextable's goalkeeper Sammy Waheto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Victor Imathiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Amos Kipwabok Mwangi made an important save on a dangerous shot by William Ogot in the 13th minute. Victor Imathiu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Amos Kipwabok Mwangi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 16th minute, Fred Waithaka got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Brampton's Amos Kipwabok Mwangi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Brampton from getting a goal against them. 27 minutes into the match, Brampton's goal looked a bit too open when Victor Imathiu came free, but Amos Kipwabok Mwangi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Brampton booed when Hextable was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elijah Moi didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fred Waithaka in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sammy Waheto saved Hextable from getting behind. Amos Kipwabok Mwangi was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Victor Imathiu showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 39 minute of play. If Fred Waithaka had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sammy Waheto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elijah Keino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
