The supporters of Wakadinali booed when Ashton Under Hill AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kipchoge Ndereba didn't get a good kick on the ball. John Masai's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 10thth minute, Antony Oliech skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 12th minute, John Karimi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dennis Mumba was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After a rather tough play, Wakadinali's John Sang got a free kick in the 14th minute. Duncan Njenga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 23rd minute, Michael Kanana hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Duncan Njenga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Faiz-Kevin Bungei had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dennis Mumba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from John Karimi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. John Karimi charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed John Karimi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 36 played minutes Ashton Under Hill AFC got a freekick which was hit by John Karimi. John Masai took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Antony Oliech. Antony Oliech dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Faiz-Kevin Bungei in the 40th minute of play forced Wakadinali's goalkeeper Dennis Mumba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. John Karimi might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dennis Mumba. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. John Karimi ran back to his position shaking his head. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

John Masai received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Antony Oliech tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ashton Under Hill AFC's Antony Oliech played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Duncan Njenga in the 55th minute of play. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ashton Under Hill AFC's goalkeeper Antony Oliech, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If John Masai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 68th minute John Karimi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dennis Mumba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that John Karimi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dennis Mumba was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. John Karimi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dennis Mumba read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. Wakadinali's John Masai got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 77th minute John Karimi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dennis Mumba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Faiz-Kevin Bungei sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, John Masai managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wakadinali's supporters rose to their feet, but John Masai was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Antony Oliech breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dennis Mumba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from John Karimi in the 90th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Wakadinali's zone, John Karimi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dennis Mumba came out of the goal and John Karimi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
