Yobes Wambua showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Curtis Kemboi in the 30th minute of the match. David Imathiu might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Yobes Wambua. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. David Imathiu ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kipchoge Kirui in the 40th minute of play forced Blackheath's goalkeeper Yobes Wambua to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cyrus Israel got free with Henry Maathai in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
