Henry Maathai showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thomas Obondo in the 4th minute of the match. Kimutai Osyanju kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. Hezekiah Sitienei charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hezekiah Sitienei the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Bonaventure Amanaka was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 9th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Plumpton Green FC's Kimutai Osyanju got a free kick in the 11th minute. In the 13th minute of the match Kenneth Obondo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Henry Maathai skillfully saved the ball. When Pius Lukoye fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Warminster's protests and gave Pius Lukoye a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Warminster's Pius Lukoye got a free kick in the 15th minute. If Thomas Obondo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Warminster's Philip Mwaura played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Curtis Kemboi in the 19th minute of play. David Imathiu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Philip Mwaura tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 30 played minutes Plumpton Green FC got a freekick which was hit by Kipchoge Kirui. After 34 minutes of play, Plumpton Green FC's David Imathiu made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Philip Mwaura was left in no man's land by his defense there! David Imathiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Plumpton Green FC's Curtis Kemboi got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Wangari Kogo was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute Curtis Kemboi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Philip Mwaura saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If David Imathiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Curtis Kemboi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Philip Mwaura having to interfere. In the 67th minute, Thomas Obondo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Warminster fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. With a little luck, Plumpton Green FC's Henry Maathai got control of the ball when Thomas Obondo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Curtis Kemboi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 83rd minute, Curtis Kemboi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Warminster's goalkeeper Philip Mwaura, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 87 minutes of play, Plumpton Green FC's Curtis Kemboi made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Philip Mwaura was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Thomas Obondo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There was no doubt that Plumpton Green FC were the better team. Plumpton Green FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
