Faversham
Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000,
Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Naftali Mumba made the kick off and thus started the match. A collision led to Faversham getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Adah Matu hit a great ball. When Philip Kimely Osyanju came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Faversham fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Philip Kimely Osyanju couldn't finish the play. Philip Kimely Osyanju who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 12thth minute tested the skills of Wilfred Waheto when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Wilfred Waheto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ratemo Osyanju in the 13th minute of the match. Mwai Emilio Bommet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henry Obala, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ratemo Osyanju fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilfred Waheto having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Naftali Mumba in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mwai Emilio Bommet prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 22 minutes Faversham's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Walter Omosh who took care of the corner kick. Henry Obala sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 27th match minute, Timsbury was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adah Adhiambo to maneuver through the defense. Henry Obala blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mwai Emilio Bommet having to make a save. The supporters of Faversham booed when Timsbury was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Omar Sande didn't get a good kick on the ball. Faversham's Silvano Sarun got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ratemo Osyanju to strike the kick off in the second half. Naftali Mumba was extremely unlucky when he, in the 52nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Philip Kimely Osyanju might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Wilfred Waheto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Philip Kimely Osyanju ran back to his position shaking his head. Ratemo Osyanju sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Faversham's Ratemo Osyanju in the 57th minute got a chance for a shot 57th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Timsbury's goalie prevented a goal. Ratemo Osyanju sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ratemo Osyanju received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Wilfred Waheto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adah Matu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilfred Waheto having to interfere. If Philip Kimely Osyanju had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Philip Kimely Osyanju might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Wilfred Waheto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Philip Kimely Osyanju ran back to his position shaking his head. 68 minutes into the game, Wilson Mbindyo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Timsbury's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Faversham the free kick. After 68 played minutes Timsbury got a freekick which was hit by Wilson Mbindyo. Ratemo Osyanju charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ratemo Osyanju the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 77th minute, Ratemo Osyanju hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Ratemo Osyanju had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ratemo Osyanju sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Philip Kimely Osyanju in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wilfred Waheto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Naftali Mumba came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Timsbury fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Naftali Mumba couldn't finish the play. Philip Kimely Osyanju struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Wilfred Waheto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Faversham. After 94 minutes of play, Timsbury's Henry Obala made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mwai Emilio Bommet was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Timsbury players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
