The referee ignored Conen Stars FC's protests and gave Hassan Obala a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Conen Stars FC's Hassan Obala got a free kick in the 25th minute. Felix Imathiu acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 27th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Antony Kimeu. Musimbi Konga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Wilfred Waheto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hassan Obala was the one to do the kick off. If Henry Obala had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Musimbi Konga got free with Wilfred Waheto in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Musimbi Konga who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 74thth minute tested the skills of Wilfred Waheto when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Conen Stars FC's Hassan Obala got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Felix Imathiu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henry Obala, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Timsbury's Wilfred Waheto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hassan Obala in the 81st minute of play. In the 84th match minute, Timsbury was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Omar Sande to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Wilson Mbindyo during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. From a short distance, Conen Stars FC's Hassan Obala, in the 93rd minute, tried to place the ball behind Wilfred Waheto, but the ball hit the right post on the wrong side and went out. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Conen Stars FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
