Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Haji Kibet made the kick off and thus started the match. After recieving a nice pass, Maidenhead's Rodgers Shah tried to score from far away in the 12th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Haji Kibet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Levi Kosgei having to interfere. Michael Kiptanui fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francis Wambui having to interfere. In the 23rd match minute, Steel Shields FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Philip Nyamau to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Michael Kiptanui in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Francis Wambui saved Steel Shields FC from getting behind. Steel Shields FC's Francis Wambui played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonathan Waithaka in the 29th minute of play. Jonathan Waithaka received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Francis Wambui tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Michael Kiptanui in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Francis Wambui prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Lawo Mohamed kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. In the 34th minute, Michael Kiptanui got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 42 minutes into the game, Jonathan Waithaka was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Maidenhead's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Steel Shields FC the free kick. In the 42nd match minute, Maidenhead was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonathan Waithaka to maneuver through the defense. Michael Kiptanui sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Michael Kiptanui made a kick off. In the 53rd minute, Michael Kiptanui got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 55th minute Haji Kibet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Levi Kosgei saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonathan Waithaka sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Maidenhead's Michael Kiptanui in the 61st minute got a chance for a shot 61st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 76th minute Michael Kiptanui shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francis Wambui saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 76th minute, Robert Atieno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Michael Kiptanui fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francis Wambui having to interfere. Steel Shields FC's Francis Wambui proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Steel Shields FC from getting a goal against them. Jonathan Waithaka sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 90th of the match, Michael Kiptanui tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Francis Wambui got in the way and made a wonderful save. If Abdilatif Oduor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 92nd minute, Githinji Chepkemei hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
