When Olga Ogot fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Great Addington's protests and gave Olga Ogot a yellow card for diving instead. Olga Ogot kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. John Maina took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 13th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Wilson Ogot. Great Addington's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Wilson Ogot was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Great Addington's Dennis Korir got a free kick in the 38th minute. Great Addington's Wilson Ogot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fredrick Wambua in the 39th minute of play. In the 41st match minute, Seascale was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Haji Mwangi to maneuver through the defense. 43 minutes into the match, Great Addington's goal looked a bit too open when Felix Alfie came free, but Wilson Ogot reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Samuel Akinyi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 91st minute, Samuel Akinyi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 92 minutes into the game, John Atieno was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Seascale's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Great Addington the free kick. John Atieno kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. When the match was over Seascale could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Great Addington throughout the match.
