Sammy Keino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Micheal Shikanda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Neymar Mané blasted a shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Micheal Shikanda having to make a save. Adolfo Salvino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Micheal Shikanda having to interfere. In the 12th play minute Adolfo Salvino came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Micheal Shikanda. 1-0. 15 minutes into the match, Adolfo Salvino notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Mufasa FC's Micheal Shikanda. Micheal Shikanda was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a little luck, Mufasa FC's Micheal Shikanda got control of the ball when Shekhar Biwott tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 26th minute, Adolfo Salvino ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Micheal Shikanda was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. After having played for 30 minutes, Adolfo Salvino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rothwell Park's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adolfo Salvino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Rothwell Park booed when Mufasa FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvano Leakey didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Teófilo Vilanova had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some careless play in the Mufasa FC defense, Adolfo Salvino kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Micheal Shikanda. The Mufasa FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Micheal Shikanda should have stopped the shot. Sammy Keino kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Elijah Leakey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Micheal Shikanda having to interfere. Micheal Shikanda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adolfo Salvino in the 47th minute of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Simon Njoroge was the one to do the kick off. Mufasa FC's Micheal Shikanda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elijah Leakey in the 52nd minute of play. Adolfo Salvino's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Micheal Shikanda read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. Adolfo Salvino took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Micheal Shikanda. Micheal Shikanda dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. Rothwell Park made a substitution. Abdallah Ali Bungei replaced Elijah Leakey. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind Mufasa FC's goalkeeper Micheal Shikanda, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Michael Nduro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adolfo Salvino scored 7-0 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Micheal Shikanda, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Shekhar Biwott sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 70 minutes into the game, Rothwell Park's Adolfo Salvino nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Micheal Shikanda made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 8-0. Adolfo Salvino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. But to his dismay, Adolfo Salvino quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 9-0. Urpo Kanerva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Micheal Shikanda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Walter Mutuku managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rothwell Park's supporters rose to their feet, but Walter Mutuku was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Micheal Shikanda breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Walter Mutuku in the 93rd minute of play forced Mufasa FC's goalkeeper Micheal Shikanda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 95 minutes into the match, Mufasa FC's goal looked a bit too open when Adolfo Salvino came free, but Micheal Shikanda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mufasa FC's goalkeeper Micheal Shikanda, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
