Spectators: 9000 (Terracing: 6750, Seating: 2070, VIP seats: 180) Mufasa FC's Simon Njoroge started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Nashon Nekesa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Michael Nduro in the 3rd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hassan Waroo during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 7th match minute, Brighton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hassan Waroo to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Brighton's zone, Simon Njoroge stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nashon Nekesa came out of the goal and Simon Njoroge tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Michael Nduro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nashon Nekesa having to interfere. Simon Njoroge received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Nashon Nekesa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 19th match minute, Mufasa FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ali Kosgei to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Simon Njoroge kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Nashon Nekesa. That made the score 1-0 in the 21 minute of play. After 26 played minutes Simon Njoroge rounded Brighton's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zedekiah Maathai during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 30th match minute, Mufasa FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zedekiah Maathai to maneuver through the defense. Hassan Waroo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Micheal Shikanda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 34th match minute, Mufasa FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zedekiah Maathai to maneuver through the defense. If Hassan Waroo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Mufasa FC's zone, Antony Nyambura stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Micheal Shikanda came out of the goal and Antony Nyambura tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Micheal Shikanda didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hassan Waroo went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Nashon Nekesa made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Michael Nduro sent off a good shot on target. In the 44th match minute, Brighton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antony Nyambura to maneuver through the defense. In the 45th minute, Simon Njoroge got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Hassan Waroo made the kick off in the second half. Moses Kipkoech kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Nashon Nekesa came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Mufasa FC's Simon Njoroge. But to his dismay, Simon Njoroge quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Haji Pinches charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Haji Pinches the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 74 minutes into the game, Brighton's Hassan Waroo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Micheal Shikanda made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. 79 minutes into the match, Brighton's goal looked a bit too open when Simon Njoroge came free, but Nashon Nekesa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Simon Njoroge fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nashon Nekesa having to interfere. Simon Njoroge recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Michael Nduro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nashon Nekesa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Simon Njoroge, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
