When Waruhiu Mutuku came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Acinus City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Waruhiu Mutuku couldn't finish the play. After 22 minutes, James Ngugi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hazel Sport Club and the Acinus City players grew even worse after the yellow card. Controller Waithaka hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. In the 29th minute, Elijah Origi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Francis Birir made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from William Ouko in the 30th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joseph Purba in the 53rd minute of play forced Hazel Sport Club's goalkeeper John Oloo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Joseph Purba managed to get in a good position for a shot. Acinus City's supporters rose to their feet, but Joseph Purba was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. John Oloo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Joseph Purba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. John Oloo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joseph Purba in the 73rd minute of the match. John Oloo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Waruhiu Mutuku, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Hazel Sport Club's John Oloo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Waruhiu Mutuku in the 84th minute of play. 87 minutes into the match, Acinus City's goal looked a bit too open when William Ouko came free, but Francis Birir reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Elijah Origi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Peter Temu hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Elijah Origi got free with Francis Birir in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Waruhiu Mutuku in the 97th minute of play forced Hazel Sport Club's goalkeeper John Oloo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
