Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000,
Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Malcolm Murunga started the match with the kick off. In the 5th minute of the match James Anush shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but David Kagai Java showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Malcolm Murunga kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Micheal Shikanda. That made the score 1-0 in the 8 minute of play. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mufasa FC's goalkeeper Micheal Shikanda, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Malcolm Murunga came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the FC Jasolohna fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Malcolm Murunga couldn't finish the play. If Zablon Kosgei had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Silvano Leakey fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mufasa FC's protests and gave Silvano Leakey a yellow card for diving instead. In the 19th match minute, Mufasa FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silvano Leakey to maneuver through the defense. The nice shot from Malcolm Murunga in the 20thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Micheal Shikanda had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. In the 22nd minute Zablon Kosgei shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Micheal Shikanda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC Jasolohna's David Kagai Java played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ali Kosgei in the 28th minute of play. The supporters of Mufasa FC booed when FC Jasolohna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. George Munji didn't get a good kick on the ball. 2-0 became the score in the 35th minute when Malcolm Murunga elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Zablon Kosgei struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Micheal Shikanda didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Jasolohna. In the 42nd minute, Mufasa FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Mohammed Limo fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. David Kagai Java showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Michael Nduro, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. A collision led to FC Jasolohna getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Kiran Masai hit a great ball. In the 48th minute of the match Zedekiah Maathai shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but David Kagai Java showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Simon Njoroge stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, FC Jasolohna's Malcolm Murunga nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Micheal Shikanda made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Malcolm Murunga struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Micheal Shikanda didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Jasolohna. Micheal Shikanda stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Malcolm Murunga's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. 63 minutes into the game, Michael Nduro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. David Kagai Java was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 66 minutes of play, FC Jasolohna's Malcolm Murunga made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Micheal Shikanda was left in no man's land by his defense there! Micheal Shikanda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Malcolm Murunga in the 71st minute of the match. FC Jasolohna's Zablon Kosgei got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 84thth minute of the game Malcolm Murunga who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mufasa FC's Micheal Shikanda was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When FC Jasolohna's Malcolm Murunga in the 93rd minute got a chance for a shot 93rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mufasa FC's goalie prevented a goal. George Munji received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Micheal Shikanda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Silvano Leakey hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Malcolm Murunga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Micheal Shikanda having to interfere. There was no doubt that FC Jasolohna were the better team. FC Jasolohna's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
