The supporters of Yoxford booed when Whitton was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Douglas Waroo didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fredrick Israel in the 15th minute of play forced Yoxford's goalkeeper John Israel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If John Wainaina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Douglas Waroo's late challenge caught a Yoxford's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Douglas Waroo helped the player get up and apologised. Douglas Waroo hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. John Israel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kipchoge Wambua went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Dennis Griffin charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dennis Griffin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Whitton getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Dennis Griffin hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Whitton's zone, David Kibiwott stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. John Origi came out of the goal and David Kibiwott tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. David Kibiwott recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Whitton getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Douglas Waroo hit a great ball. Yoxford's Fredrick Mwangi couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Whitton. Kipchoge Wambua hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. 46 minutes into the game, Sammy Njoroge was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Yoxford's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Whitton the free kick. After a rather tough play, Yoxford's Sammy Njoroge got a free kick in the 47th minute.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for David Kibiwott to strike the kick off in the second half. John Origi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sammy Njoroge, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. If David Kibiwott had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kipchoge Wambua sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Whitton's Kipchoge Wambua slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of John Israel. That made the score 0-3 after 88 minutes of play. After having played for 95 minutes, Kipchoge Wambua managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Whitton's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kipchoge Wambua was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Whitton eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
