Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Mohammed Odeke made the kick off which started today's match. Vincent Mutheu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without John Mudavadi having to interfere. In the 8th minute Mohammed Odeke shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Duncan Birir saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 9 minutes into the game, Clitheroe's Shekhar Alfie nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Duncan Birir made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Thomas Syombua hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. John Mudavadi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ngũgĩ wa Shah, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Shekhar Alfie managed to get in a good position for a shot. Clitheroe's supporters rose to their feet, but Shekhar Alfie was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Duncan Birir breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Stocksbridge's Duncan Birir proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Stocksbridge from getting a goal against them. Shekhar Alfie could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Duncan Birir made a huge save. The audience was convinced that Mohammed Odeke's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Duncan Birir was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. In the 32nd match minute, Stocksbridge was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thomas Muchoki to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mohammed Odeke in the 33rd minute of play forced Stocksbridge's goalkeeper Duncan Birir to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 37th minute of the match Thomas Syombua shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Duncan Birir showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Shekhar Alfie who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 38thth minute tested the skills of Duncan Birir when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Mohammed Odeke had several of the Stocksbridge's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 40 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Duncan Birir as he didn't even see the shot coming. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mohammed Odeke in the 48th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Duncan Birir prevented the ball from getting in the gole. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vincent Mutheu to make the kick off. Mohammed Odeke received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Duncan Birir tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. John Mudavadi acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 62nd minute, took the ball on the long shot from John Saleh Nabhan. Mohammed Odeke blasted a shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Duncan Birir having to make a save. Duncan Birir showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mohammed Odeke in the 67th minute of the match. When Saleh Musyoka fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Clitheroe's protests and gave Saleh Musyoka a yellow card for diving instead. Mohammed Odeke received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Duncan Birir tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Shekhar Alfie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Duncan Birir stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mohammed Odeke's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. Mohammed Odeke sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Thomas Muchoki during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Thomas Muchoki hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Mohammed Odeke recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the referee ended the match the Clitheroe players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
