Widnes United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Aylesbury the free kick. A collision led to Widnes United getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Samuel Ngoka hit a great ball. In the 5th minute, Charles Amanaka got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 7th minute Julius Wambui shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leopoldo Paz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Widnes United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that John Biwott should have stopped the shot. John Biwott took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Radomil Skrzypek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. John Biwott showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Radomil Skrzypek in the 37th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Radomil Skrzypek in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck John Biwott prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Aylesbury's Leopoldo Paz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stephen Koech in the 40th minute of play. In the 46th minute, Aylesbury's Radomil Skrzypek dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Stephen Koech to strike the kick off in the second half. John Akinyi kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. John Biwott came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Aylesbury's Hidayet Sati. But to his dismay, Hidayet Sati quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. In the 62nd minute, Widnes United's Dedan Kariuki dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-1. Leopoldo Paz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julius Wambui, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. After 70 played minutes Julius Wambui rounded Aylesbury's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 3-2. Leopoldo Paz made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Stephen Koech sent off a good shot on target. 82 minutes into the match, Stephen Koech notched a goal, 3-3, to the right of Aylesbury's Leopoldo Paz. Leopoldo Paz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 89 played minutes Widnes United got a freekick which was hit by John Mulama.
