Spectators: 8600 (Terracing: 6500, Seating: 2000, VIP seats: 100) Whitton's Kipchoge Wambua started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Curtis Akinyi took the ball and in the 6 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised John Origi. John Origi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind Whitton's goalkeeper John Origi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Kipchoge Wambua sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Whitton's Kipchoge Wambua got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fredrick Israel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jehovah Keino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without John Origi having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jehovah Keino in the 24th minute of play forced Whitton's goalkeeper John Origi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 25th minute Curtis Akinyi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but John Origi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fredrick Israel hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Curtis Akinyi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 43rd minute, one of Whitton:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Whitton. In the 45th minute there was a penalty for High Coniscliffe. Tony Githinji Waheto stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving John Origi. 0-2. After the first half High Coniscliffe were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After a rather tough play, Whitton's Evans Uche got a free kick in the 50th minute. The High Coniscliffe fans' excitement grew in the 52nd match minute when High Coniscliffe's Jehovah Keino looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Curtis Akinyi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without John Origi having to interfere. Whitton's John Origi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Whitton from getting a goal against them. Douglas Waroo kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. The referee gave High Coniscliffe a penalty, 69 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Tony Githinji Waheto, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Whitton's John Origi. 0-4. Whitton's John Origi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Whitton from getting a goal against them. A collision led to High Coniscliffe getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Omar Kogo hit a great ball. After 78 played minutes, Whitton's Jehovah Bilali shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dedan Awino came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Whitton reached it. Kipchoge Wambua struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Dedan Awino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Whitton. Curtis Akinyi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without John Origi having to interfere. Jehovah Keino scored 0-5 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of John Origi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Curtis Akinyi in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck John Origi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Curtis Akinyi in the 96th minute of play forced Whitton's goalkeeper John Origi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The High Coniscliffe supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing High Coniscliffe would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
