Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Curtis Akinyi kicked off to start the match. Shekhar Alfie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Dedan Awino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. High Coniscliffe's Dedan Awino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Shekhar Alfie in the 8th minute of play. Charles Ondieki kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Curtis Akinyi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. John Mudavadi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Jehovah Keino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dedan Awino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mohammed Odeke, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. John Mudavadi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Curtis Akinyi in the 20th minute of play. Mohammed Odeke sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind High Coniscliffe's goalkeeper Dedan Awino, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Clitheroe's Charles Ondieki got a free kick in the 26th minute. The supporters of Clitheroe booed when High Coniscliffe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Omar Kogo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dedan Awino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mohammed Odeke, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Jehovah Keino fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored High Coniscliffe's protests and gave Jehovah Keino a yellow card for diving instead. After 38 played minutes High Coniscliffe got a freekick which was hit by Jehovah Keino. An unexpectedly hard shot by Shekhar Alfie in the 42nd minute of play forced High Coniscliffe's goalkeeper Dedan Awino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jehovah Keino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Curtis Akinyi in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck John Mudavadi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mohammed Odeke was the one to do the kick off. Mohammed Odeke struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Dedan Awino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Clitheroe. John Mudavadi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jehovah Keino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 56th match minute, Clitheroe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stephen Ouko to maneuver through the defense. Curtis Akinyi struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. John Mudavadi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for High Coniscliffe. In the 60th minute Curtis Akinyi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but John Mudavadi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Clitheroe's zone, Jehovah Keino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. John Mudavadi came out of the goal and Jehovah Keino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 68th minute, Mohammed Odeke got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Jehovah Keino came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the High Coniscliffe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jehovah Keino couldn't finish the play. Mohammed Odeke sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dedan Awino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mohammed Odeke in the 86th minute of play. Curtis Akinyi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
