Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Vincent Mutheu made the kick off which started today's match. Sammy Njoroge sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Vincent Mutheu came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Stocksbridge fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vincent Mutheu couldn't finish the play. Sammy Njoroge's late challenge caught a Stocksbridge's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sammy Njoroge helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Yoxford's Sammy Njoroge got a free kick in the 9th minute. 10 minutes into the match, Stocksbridge's Dan Masai broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. John Israel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vincent Mutheu in the 26th minute of play. In the 30th match minute, Yoxford was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raymond Awino to maneuver through the defense. David Kibiwott fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Duncan Birir having to interfere. Stocksbridge's Duncan Birir played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by John Wainaina in the 36th minute of play. John Wainaina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Duncan Birir having to interfere. 41 minutes into the match, Yoxford's David Kibiwott sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Duncan Birir narrowly saved just below the crossbar. John Wainaina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Duncan Birir tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when John Wainaina stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Stocksbridge's goal looked a bit too open when John Wainaina came free, but Duncan Birir reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers David Kibiwott in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Duncan Birir saved Stocksbridge from getting behind. Yoxford's David Kibiwott got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. John Wainaina's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Duncan Birir read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. 62 minutes into the game, Ngũgĩ wa Shah cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. John Israel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ngũgĩ wa Shah fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without John Israel having to interfere. Christopher Wangeci kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. David Kibiwott took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Duncan Birir. Duncan Birir dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vincent Mutheu in the 83rd minute of play forced Yoxford's goalkeeper John Israel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Yoxford's zone, Ngũgĩ wa Shah stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. John Israel came out of the goal and Ngũgĩ wa Shah tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. John Saleh Nabhan's late challenge caught a Yoxford's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. John Saleh Nabhan helped the player get up and apologised. John Wainaina blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Duncan Birir having to make a save.
