The supporters of Botswana Meat Commission booed when Whitton was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Michael Cheboiboch didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kipchoge Wambua during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 20 played minutes Whitton got a freekick which was hit by Kipchoge Wambua. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Samson Kiptanui in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg John Origi saved Whitton from getting behind. Samson Kiptanui scored 0-1 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of John Origi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Lucas Kosgei fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Whitton's protests and gave Lucas Kosgei a yellow card for diving instead. In the 30th match minute, Whitton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucas Kosgei to maneuver through the defense. 44 minutes into the match, Samson Kiptanui had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of John Origi. Whitton's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Samson Kiptanui was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kipchoge Wambua to strike the kick off in the second half. Daniel Koech fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without John Origi having to interfere. Moses Akinyi kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Oburu Kiprop made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kipchoge Wambua in the 57th minute of play. Moses Akinyi hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. If Daniel Koech had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fredrick Israel in the 62nd minute of play forced Botswana Meat Commission's goalkeeper Oburu Kiprop to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Botswana Meat Commission's Oburu Kiprop played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kipchoge Wambua in the 63rd minute of play. Samson Kiptanui fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without John Origi having to interfere. A collision led to Whitton getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Jehovah Bilali hit a great ball. Samson Kiptanui came free in the 69th minute and tried to tip the ball over John Origi, but to the joy of Whitton's supporters the ball hit the crossbar and out. When the final whistle sounded Botswana Meat Commission left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Whitton.
