Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Kipchoge Wambua made the kick off and thus started the match. Fredrick Israel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without John Mudavadi having to interfere. In the 9th minute, one of Clitheroe:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Clitheroe. John Mudavadi went to the wrong direction when Jehovah Bilali was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. The Whitton fans' excitement grew in the 12th match minute when Whitton's Kipchoge Wambua looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 15 minutes into the game, Naftali Ogot was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Whitton's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Clitheroe the free kick. In the 15th minute, Naftali Ogot hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Whitton's John Origi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mohammed Odeke in the 25th minute of play. In the 28th minute, Michael Cheboiboch hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 29 minutes into the match, Mohammed Odeke dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of John Origi, 1-2. After a rather tough play, Whitton's Douglas Waroo got a free kick in the 34th minute. In the 41st minute, Shekhar Alfie fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of John Origi, passed just outside the right post. In the 43rd minute, Njeri Osoro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Kipchoge Wambua came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Whitton fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kipchoge Wambua couldn't finish the play. Kipchoge Wambua sent away a hard shot on goal in the 49th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mohammed Odeke to strike the kick off in the second half. Shekhar Alfie's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but John Origi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. With a little luck, Clitheroe's John Mudavadi got control of the ball when Fredrick Israel tried to sneak it across the goal line. 66 minutes into the game, Ngũgĩ wa Nyamau was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Clitheroe's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Whitton the free kick. In the 66th match minute, Clitheroe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ngũgĩ wa Nyamau to maneuver through the defense. John Origi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Shekhar Alfie, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. In the 71st minute, Mohammed Odeke made a precise shot to the right of John Origi. Whitton's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Saleh Musyoka took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 76th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for John Origi. Whitton's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 77th minute, Dennis Griffin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. John Origi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mohammed Odeke, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Shekhar Alfie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. John Origi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 84thth minute of the game Shekhar Alfie who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Whitton's John Origi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Clitheroe's Ngũgĩ wa Nyamau got a free kick in the 86th minute. When Fredrick Israel came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Whitton fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fredrick Israel couldn't finish the play. Clitheroe's defense didn't have a chance, in the 89th minute, when Kipchoge Wambua scored to the left of an out of position John Mudavadi, making the score, 2-3. Shekhar Alfie's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but John Origi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mohammed Odeke in the 97th minute of play forced Whitton's goalkeeper John Origi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Whitton had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
