Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000,
Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Jackson Nduro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Francis Mbugua read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. Evans Rono came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by Bridgnorth's Michael Rono. But to his dismay, Michael Rono quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Francis Mbugua made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maurice Shikwati in the 11th minute of play. Maurice Shikwati recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Michael Rono could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Evans Rono made a huge save. If Maurice Shikwati had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bridgnorth's Francis Mbugua played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jackson Nduro in the 17th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felix Kipketer in the 20th minute of play forced Dallas FC's goalkeeper Evans Rono to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Michael Rono blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Evans Rono having to make a save. Michael Rono might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Evans Rono. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Michael Rono ran back to his position shaking his head. Felix Kipketer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Maurice Shikwati blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Francis Mbugua having to make a save. Michael Rono could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Evans Rono made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Bridgnorth's zone, Maurice Shikwati stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Francis Mbugua came out of the goal and Maurice Shikwati tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 43 minutes into the match, Dallas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Felix Kipketer came free, but Evans Rono reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 45th match minute, Bridgnorth was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Douglas Kiptanui to maneuver through the defense. In the 47th minute, Mike Vinii hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. It was beautiful to see Dallas FC's Philip Kiprugut in action when he in the 49th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Felix Kipketer made a kick off. Francis Mbugua showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jackson Nduro in the 55th minute of the match. In the 59th match minute, Dallas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maurice Shikwati to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Dallas FC's zone, Felix Kipketer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Evans Rono came out of the goal and Felix Kipketer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dallas FC's Ngina Saleh Nabhan shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 65th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Francis Mbugua but with some difficulty. Michael Rono fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evans Rono having to interfere. Evans Rono showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Michael Rono in the 72nd minute of the match. Jackson Nduro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Evans Rono took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Michael Rono, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dallas FC were furious when Philip Kiprugut was red carded, 77 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Dallas FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 77th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Bridgnorth a penalty, 79 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Gabriel Kipsos, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Dallas FC's Evans Rono. 2-0. The supporters of Bridgnorth booed when Dallas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Peter Wambua didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 87th minute, Michael Rono ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Evans Rono was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. If Felix Kipketer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Bridgnorth fans cheered their team off the field, for while Dallas FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
