Seating: 2111, VIP seats: 182) Joe Maish made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sammy Waithaka in the 3rd minute. If George Chepkemei had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Winfred Bommet charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Winfred Bommet the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Mahmoud Kipsang showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Martin Ngeny in the 14th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Reuben Kimeu during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, St Ives FC's Reuben Kimeu got a free kick in the 15th minute. When Charles Nekesa fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored St Ives FC's protests and gave Charles Nekesa a yellow card for diving instead. Charles Nekesa kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. 24 minutes into the match, St Ives FC's goal looked a bit too open when George Chepkemei came free, but Mahmoud Kipsang reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mahmoud Kipsang showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sammy Ocholla in the 29th minute of the match. Benjamin Kimutai Rop who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 30thth minute tested the skills of Joe Maish when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 35th minute Sammy Ocholla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mahmoud Kipsang saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With 44 minutes on the clock, Bwana Imathiu commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Benjamin Kimutai Rop made a kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Benjamin Kimutai Rop in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joe Maish saved Strong Warriors Fc. from getting behind. After having played for 56 minutes, Joseph Muhoho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. St Ives FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joseph Muhoho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Benjamin Kimutai Rop had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 59th match minute, Strong Warriors Fc. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Winfred Bommet to maneuver through the defense. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Strong Warriors Fc.'s goalkeeper Joe Maish, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Benjamin Kimutai Rop scored 1-1 in the 65th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Joe Maish, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Benjamin Kimutai Rop had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mahmoud Kipsang was out of position in the 76 minute of play, and George Chepkemei capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. George Chepkemei really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. Mahmoud Kipsang made an important save on a dangerous shot by Martin Ngeny in the 82nd minute. Mahmoud Kipsang took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sammy Ocholla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 85th minute, Joe Kirui hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benjamin Kimutai Rop received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Joe Maish tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 94 minutes, Benjamin Kimutai Rop managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. St Ives FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benjamin Kimutai Rop was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
