Mahmoud Kipsang came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by FLASH FC's Silvano Luzea. But to his dismay, Silvano Luzea quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. When the match clock showed 16 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Silvano Luzea sped through St Ives FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Mahmoud Kipsang. FLASH FC's Davis Onyango got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to FLASH FC getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Silvano Luzea hit a great ball. FLASH FC's Josephat Mulama was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Mahmoud Kipsang in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. If Silvano Luzea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Silvano Luzea blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mahmoud Kipsang having to make a save. In the 37th match minute, St Ives FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by George Matiba to maneuver through the defense. Mahmoud Kipsang stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Silvano Luzea's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Clinton Kariuki during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Clinton Kariuki hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. 44 minutes into the match, Silvano Luzea notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of St Ives FC's Mahmoud Kipsang. Mahmoud Kipsang was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Silvano Luzea to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, St Ives FC's Bwana Imathiu got a free kick in the 51st minute. Clinton Kariuki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 61st match minute, St Ives FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bwana Imathiu to maneuver through the defense. Mahmoud Kipsang showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Davis Onyango, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. St Ives FC's Mahmoud Kipsang played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silvano Luzea in the 69th minute of play. When Silvano Luzea came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the FLASH FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Silvano Luzea couldn't finish the play. In the 72nd minute, Silvano Luzea left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FLASH FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. After a rather tough play, St Ives FC's Maurice Kirui got a free kick in the 77th minute. After a defensive mix-up in St Ives FC's zone, Josephat Mulama stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mahmoud Kipsang came out of the goal and Josephat Mulama tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Silvano Luzea recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 82nd minute, Ronn Namasivayam hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. John Alfie didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Benjamin Kimutai Rop went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. The supporters of St Ives FC booed when FLASH FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Clinton Kariuki didn't get a good kick on the ball.
