The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 3 minutes, Wilson Kigotho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Solfam fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wilson Kigotho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Team Name's Christopher Leakey proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save Team Name from getting a goal against them. 8 minutes into the match, Team Name's goalkeeper Christopher Leakey had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Moses Imathiu. After a rather tough play, Solfam fc's Moses Imathiu got a free kick in the 9th minute. 11 minutes into the game, Patrick Alfie cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. David Mwangi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Deepak Wanjohi fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Solfam fc's protests and gave Deepak Wanjohi a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Solfam fc getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Deepak Wanjohi hit a great ball. Swaleh Chemjor did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-1 to the left of a surprised Christopher Leakey 17 minutes into the match. David Mwangi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mohinda Okoth, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Christopher Leakey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilson Kigotho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kipchoge Lukoye struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Christopher Leakey didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Solfam fc. Silvano Njoroge fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christopher Leakey having to interfere. Christopher Leakey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kipchoge Lukoye in the 33rd minute of play. 38 minutes into the match, Team Name's goal looked a bit too open when Swaleh Chemjor came free, but Christopher Leakey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kipchoge Lukoye struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Christopher Leakey didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Solfam fc. Wilson Kigotho hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. If Wilson Kigotho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Solfam fc's Swaleh Chemjor in the 47th minute got a chance for a shot 47th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. David Mwangi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Kipchoge Lukoye received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Christopher Leakey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Moses Imathiu in the 70th minute of play forced Team Name's goalkeeper Christopher Leakey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Moses Imathiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Team Name's zone, Swaleh Chemjor stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christopher Leakey came out of the goal and Swaleh Chemjor tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Swaleh Chemjor got in the 81st a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Christopher Leakey handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. After 83 minutes, Kipchoge Lukoye mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Solfam fc and the Team Name players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 83rd match minute, Solfam fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kipchoge Lukoye to maneuver through the defense. Through an outstanding action, after 86 minutes, David Mwangi successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post.
