Patrick Chemjor started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute, Kagai Oduor got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Patrick Chemjor scored 1-0 in the 4th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of David Mwangi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Patrick Chemjor's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but David Mwangi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. Kagai Oduor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 14th minute, sofapaka's Patrick Chemjor ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind David Mwangi. David Mwangi yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. The referee felt a red card was in order, 26 minutes into the game, when Martin Kimutai put in a rough tackle. 25 minutes into the game, one of Solfam fc:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 28 minutes, sofapaka's Patrick Chemjor got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of David Mwangi. The supporters of sofapaka booed when Solfam fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. William Kiprono didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 37th minute, sofapaka's Patrick Chemjor dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-0. After a rather tough play, sofapaka's Patrick Chemjor got a free kick in the 41st minute. In the 43rdth minute of the game Patrick Chemjor who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Solfam fc's David Mwangi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. David Mwangi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Patrick Chemjor's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kipchoge Lukoye made a kick off. After some careless play in the Solfam fc defense, Kevin Nduro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of David Mwangi. The Solfam fc fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that David Mwangi should have stopped the shot. Kagai Oduor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 66th match minute, Solfam fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kipchoge Lukoye to maneuver through the defense. David Mwangi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kagai Oduor, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. A collision led to Solfam fc getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Clinton Nyamau hit a great ball. Kagai Oduor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Mwangi having to interfere. David Mwangi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Pinches in the 87th minute of play. 88 minutes in the game, Moses Imathiu fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Oginga Birir having to interfere. In the 92nd minute, Patrick Chemjor got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 93rd match minute, Solfam fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Deepak Wanjohi to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Solfam fc's zone, Kagai Oduor stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. David Mwangi came out of the goal and Kagai Oduor tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. There was no doubt that sofapaka were the better team. sofapaka's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
