The coaching staff of Haslingden United protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Haroun Mehta had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The score was 1-0 after a penalty in the 10th minute, where F.C. KipKøntë:s Walter Rop tricked Haslingden United:s Price Møberg with a difficult ball by the left post. Price Møberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Walter Rop, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Fredrick Biwott came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Haslingden United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fredrick Biwott couldn't finish the play. Bonaventure Adhiambo hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Richard Nduro hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Richard Nduro in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ali Njoroge saved F.C. KipKøntë from getting behind. Haslingden United's Price Møberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by James Asati in the 30th minute of play. Richard Nduro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. KipKøntë got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan Bommet. An unexpected shot in the 81st minute by Richard Nduro got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. F.C. KipKøntë's defense didn't have a chance, in the 86th minute, when Richard Nduro scored to the left of an out of position Ali Njoroge, making the score, 1-1. 97 minutes into the match, Richard Nduro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ali Njoroge. F.C. KipKøntë's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Richard Nduro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Haslingden United eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
