Charles Purba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from James Asati in the 5th minute of play. 7 minutes into the match, REAL KÊNIA♣'s goal looked a bit too open when James Asati came free, but Charles Purba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, REAL KÊNIA♣'s Richard Ogot got a free kick in the 10th minute. 13 minutes into the match, James Asati notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of REAL KÊNIA♣'s Charles Purba. Charles Purba was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, F.C. KipKøntë's Kiran Wangeci got a free kick in the 21st minute. Jackson Mutuku hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Walter Rop took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Charles Purba. Charles Purba dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. In the 27th minute James Asati shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Charles Purba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Charles Purba came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by F.C. KipKøntë's James Asati. But to his dismay, James Asati quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. In the 32nd minute, Cyrus Otieno ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ali Njoroge was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. In the 36th minute, Paul Keter got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 38 minutes into the game, F.C. KipKøntë's James Asati nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Charles Purba made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-5. 45 minutes into the game, James Asati cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-6. Charles Purba was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-6 lead.

The wind increased when Michael Shah made the kick off in the second half. Paul Keter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ali Njoroge having to interfere. The supporters of F.C. KipKøntë booed when REAL KÊNIA♣ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jackson Mutuku didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, James Asati managed to get in a good position for a shot. F.C. KipKøntë's supporters rose to their feet, but James Asati was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Charles Purba breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 57 minutes into the match, F.C. KipKøntë's Micheal Rutto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Charles Purba narrowly saved just below the crossbar. F.C. KipKøntë's Ali Njoroge played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by George Ngigi in the 59th minute of play. James Asati sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. James Asati took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Charles Purba. Charles Purba dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-7. With a little luck, REAL KÊNIA♣'s Charles Purba got control of the ball when James Asati tried to sneak it across the goal line. 69 minutes into the match, James Asati had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Charles Purba. REAL KÊNIA♣'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that James Asati was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-8. 76 minutes into the match, REAL KÊNIA♣'s goalkeeper Charles Purba had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by James Asati. Charles Purba made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when James Asati sent off a good shot on target. 78 minutes into the match, F.C. KipKøntë's James Asati sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Charles Purba narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ali Njoroge stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cyrus Otieno's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. In the 85th minute, Cyrus Otieno left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The REAL KÊNIA♣ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-8. When Paul Keter came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the REAL KÊNIA♣ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paul Keter couldn't finish the play. Eliud Kigotho hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. REAL KÊNIA♣'s Charles Purba proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save REAL KÊNIA♣ from getting a goal against them. From close distance James Asati pressed in the 2-9 goal high up into nets stiches in the right cross 96 minutes into the game. The F.C. KipKøntë supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing F.C. KipKøntë would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
