A very good chance. 28 minutes into the game, Cliff York lined in a short shot 1-1 behind a frustrated Les Coleman. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Carlton Foster made a kick off. Les Coleman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ged Revell, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Ged Revell scored 2-1 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Les Coleman, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 64 minutes into the match, Ged Revell had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Les Coleman. Hornchurch United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ged Revell was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. If Ged Revell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cliff York fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Les Coleman having to interfere. Carlton Foster blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cliff Burnett having to make a save. Cliff Burnett showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlton Foster, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. In the 80th match minute, Al-Faisaly SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rueben Simms to maneuver through the defense. Al-Faisaly SC's Ged Revell got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hornchurch United's Carlton Foster was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 91st play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal.
