Seating: 1857, VIP seats: 0) Graham Darby fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Steve Sawbridge having to interfere. 7 minutes into the match, Graham Darby had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Steve Sawbridge. Windsor's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Graham Darby was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 10th minute, Bart Titmuss got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Steve Sawbridge took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bart Titmuss, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 13 minutes into the match, Andy Deacon dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Kieran Potts, 1-1. In the 24th minute Bart Titmuss shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Steve Sawbridge saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Graham Darby had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Steve Sawbridge showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bart Titmuss in the 32nd minute of the match. 32 minutes into the game, Bart Titmuss cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Steve Sawbridge was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in Windsor's zone, Bart Titmuss stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Steve Sawbridge came out of the goal and Bart Titmuss tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 39 played minutes Smallfield City got a freekick which was hit by Graham Darby. Andy Deacon blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kieran Potts having to make a save. After 45 minutes, Gary Saunders mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Smallfield City and the Windsor players grew even worse after the yellow card. Windsor's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Alfie Cook in the 48th minute. The corner ended in Alfie Cook almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Smallfield City's Kieran Potts did a great save. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bart Titmuss was the one to do the kick off. With a little luck, Windsor's Steve Sawbridge got control of the ball when Graham Darby tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Smallfield City's zone, Josh Mason stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kieran Potts came out of the goal and Josh Mason tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 73 minutes of play, Windsor's Josh Mason made it 2-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kieran Potts was left in no man's land by his defense there! Windsor's defense didn't have a chance, in the 76th minute, when Bart Titmuss scored to the left of an out of position Steve Sawbridge, making the score, 2-5. 84 minutes into the match, Windsor's goalkeeper Steve Sawbridge had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Graham Darby. In the 86th minute of the match, Bart Titmuss tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Steve Sawbridge saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After 88 minutes, Gordon Beecham mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Smallfield City and the Windsor players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 87th minute, one of Smallfield City:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Smallfield City. 93 minutes into the match, Windsor's goalkeeper Steve Sawbridge had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Graham Darby. Graham Darby was extremely unlucky when he, in the 96th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Bart Titmuss blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Steve Sawbridge having to make a save. Graham Darby could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 97th minute of the match, but Steve Sawbridge made a huge save. The Windsor fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Smallfield City were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
