He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Al Wehdat club reached it. Rich Lewington made an important save on a dangerous shot by Don Stockton in the 9th minute. 11 minutes into the game, Trevor Lock recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Rich Lewington. Trevor Lock showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. A collision led to Ware AFC getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Alastair Furniss hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Ware AFC's zone, Connor Salt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Darryl Dawson came out of the goal and Connor Salt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Scott Brearley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ware AFC's goalkeeper Darryl Dawson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 28thth minute of the game Scott Brearley who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ware AFC's Darryl Dawson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Don Stockton might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rich Lewington. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Don Stockton ran back to his position shaking his head. 33 minutes into the match, Al Wehdat club's goal looked a bit too open when Trevor Lock came free, but Rich Lewington reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Trevor Lock had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Don Stockton's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 36thth minute, Rich Lewington skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. A collision led to Ware AFC getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Kristopher Arrowsmith hit a great ball. 41 minutes into the match, Ware AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Connor Salt came free, but Darryl Dawson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Franz Hirst received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Rich Lewington tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alfred Attenborough kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. In the 67th minute of the match Rob Colbert shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Darryl Dawson showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 68 played minutes Ware AFC got a freekick which was hit by Kristopher Arrowsmith. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Scott Brearley in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Darryl Dawson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rich Lewington showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Trevor Lock, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Don Stockton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rich Lewington having to interfere. 74 minutes into the match, Trevor Lock notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Al Wehdat club's Rich Lewington. Rich Lewington was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 80th minute, Edward Patton sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Al Wehdat club's Rich Lewington didn't even have to move. Don Stockton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 92 minutes into the match, Al Wehdat club's goal looked a bit too open when Trevor Lock came free, but Rich Lewington reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 97 minutes, Trevor Lock made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Al Wehdat club's Rich Lewington tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Al Wehdat club's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
