Connor Rouse showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zeferino Matos, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Diogo Resende took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Connor Rouse. Connor Rouse dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Don Cotterill could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Silviu Lung made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Shabab Rafah's zone, Danny Bowler stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Silviu Lung came out of the goal and Danny Bowler tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Silviu Lung made an important save on a dangerous shot by Feliberto Inge in the 22nd minute. The corner ended in Don Cotterill almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Shabab Rafah's Silviu Lung did a great save. Feliberto Inge recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 36 minutes, Don Cotterill managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alwinton FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Don Cotterill was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 37th minute Danny Bowler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silviu Lung saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alwinton FC were awarded a corner in the 39th minute after Shabab Rafah's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Don Cotterill took the corner. The supporters of Shabab Rafah booed when Alwinton FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lewis Stiles didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kadri Şerafeddin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Connor Rouse read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. Connor Rouse made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christopher Lofthouse in the 44th minute of play. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Christopher Lofthouse made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Feliberto Inge hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 57th match minute, Alwinton FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jordan Bates to maneuver through the defense. A nice corner shot did that Don Cotterill got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Silviu Lung quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 69th minute, Jordan Bates hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Diogo Resende fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Connor Rouse having to interfere. Don Cotterill received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Silviu Lung tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 81 minutes into the match, Alwinton FC's Feliberto Inge sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Silviu Lung narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 82 minutes into the match, Zeferino Matos notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Alwinton FC's Connor Rouse. Connor Rouse was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Shabab Rafah's Jaime Quintan was substituted for Zeferino Matos.
