Spectators: 8561 (Terracing: 6345, Seating: 2000, VIP seats: 216) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Andy Gardener made the kick off which started today's match. With his leg Connor Rouse managed to avoid a goal in the 3rdth minute, when Airblue's Andy Gardener fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 7 minutes into the match, Danny Bowler notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Airblue's Wally Howarth. Wally Howarth was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Wally Howarth showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Don Cotterill in the 10th minute of the match. Henry Keyworth's late challenge caught a Alwinton FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Henry Keyworth helped the player get up and apologised. In the 10th match minute, Airblue was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Henry Keyworth to maneuver through the defense. When Feliberto Inge came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Alwinton FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Feliberto Inge couldn't finish the play. Wally Howarth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Danny Bowler, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. After 14 minutes of play, Alwinton FC's Don Cotterill made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wally Howarth was left in no man's land by his defense there! Wally Howarth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Don Cotterill in the 17th minute of play. When the match clock showed 20 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Feliberto Inge sped through Airblue's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Wally Howarth. An unexpectedly hard shot by Danny Bowler in the 25th minute of play forced Airblue's goalkeeper Wally Howarth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Danny Bowler in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wally Howarth prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 27th minute, Don Cotterill got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Wally Howarth didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Don Cotterill went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Wally Howarth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Danny Bowler, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Wally Howarth took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Don Cotterill, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Danny Bowler in the 35th minute of play forced Airblue's goalkeeper Wally Howarth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 37 minutes, Martin Thornton made it 0-5 with a short kick to the right side. Airblue's Wally Howarth tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 39 minutes into the match, Airblue's goal looked a bit too open when Danny Bowler came free, but Wally Howarth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 42 minutes into the match, Danny Bowler notched a goal, 0-6, to the right of Airblue's Wally Howarth. Wally Howarth was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Feliberto Inge took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wally Howarth. Wally Howarth dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-7. The Airblue players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Alwinton FC were winning 0-7.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Danny Bowler to make the kick off. Airblue's Wally Howarth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Don Cotterill in the 54th minute of play. After 58 minutes, Robin Connery mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Alwinton FC and the Airblue players grew even worse after the yellow card. Robin Connery kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Alan Swanson struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Connor Rouse didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Airblue. Wally Howarth didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 61st minute, which inside left pole to 0-8. The crowd rose to their feet as Danny Bowler kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Wally Howarth. That made the score 0-9 in the 65 minute of play. Wally Howarth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Danny Bowler, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. When the match clock showed 76 minutes, the score became 0-11 when Don Cotterill sped through Airblue's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Wally Howarth. Feliberto Inges short, quick shot in the 79thth minute got Wally Howarth to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 82 minutes into the game, Feliberto Inge cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-12. Wally Howarth was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 85th minute, Danny Bowler got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 86th minute, Feliberto Inge reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Wally Howarth. The goal made the score 0-13. The Airblue fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Alwinton FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
