After a defensive mix-up in Otley's zone, Russ Oldham stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jack Warburton came out of the goal and Russ Oldham tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rodd Bridgewater showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Johnathon Beesley in the 25th minute of the match. If Russ Oldham had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 28th minute, Oscar Chappell left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The That Ras fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Theo Houghton got a throw-in 36 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Reuben Reeve. Johnathon Beesley's late challenge caught a That Ras's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The referee ignored That Ras's protests and gave Mitch Parry a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to That Ras getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Mitch Parry hit a great ball. The Otley players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. That Ras were winning 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Johnathon Beesley stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Russ Oldham had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
