In the 19th match minute, Hadleigh United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christian Atkinson to maneuver through the defense. Oscar Chappell recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Russ Oldham struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Christian Lambert didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for That Ras. After a defensive mix-up in Hadleigh United's zone, Callum Sanderson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christian Lambert came out of the goal and Callum Sanderson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Russ Oldham managed to get in a good position for a shot. That Ras's supporters rose to their feet, but Russ Oldham was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Christian Lambert breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Oscar Chappell came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the That Ras fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Oscar Chappell couldn't finish the play. Christian Lambert showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Russ Oldham in the 31st minute of the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Russ Oldham stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rodd Bridgewater showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vern Wiley in the 52nd minute of the match. The supporters of That Ras booed when Hadleigh United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tommy Clapham didn't get a good kick on the ball. 69 minutes into the game, That Ras's Russ Oldham nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot.
