Shoeburyness City's Philip Frost proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Shoeburyness City from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Derek Dewhirst during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Shoeburyness City getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Derek Dewhirst hit a great ball. With a little luck, Shoeburyness City's Philip Frost got control of the ball when Ollie Davey tried to sneak it across the goal line. Philip Frost took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ollie Davey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vince Duckworth fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cody York having to interfere. ΑΣΤΕΡΑΣ's Cody York played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joe Gower in the 14th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ivan Turner got free with Philip Frost in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Shoeburyness City's Joe Gower got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vince Duckworth recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cody York didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vince Duckworth went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Cody York took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vince Duckworth, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ivan Turner got free with Philip Frost in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 36 minutes into the match, Shoeburyness City's goal looked a bit too open when Ollie Davey came free, but Philip Frost reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cody York made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vince Duckworth in the 43rd minute of play. After 45 minutes ΑΣΤΕΡΑΣ's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Micheal Greenwood who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Micheal Greenwood almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but ΑΣΤΕΡΑΣ's Cody York did a great save. Cody York took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joe Gower, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ollie Davey made a kick off. Philip Frost showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silvester Knight, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Oliver Harding's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Philip Frost read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Shoeburyness City's Micheal Greenwood got a free kick in the 62nd minute. 64 minutes into the match, Shoeburyness City's goal looked a bit too open when Ivan Turner came free, but Philip Frost reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 69th match minute, Shoeburyness City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Denzil Astridge to maneuver through the defense. Philip Frost showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ivan Turner in the 72nd minute of the match. In the 78th minute Silvester Knight shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Philip Frost saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 79 minutes into the match, Shoeburyness City's goal looked a bit too open when Ollie Davey came free, but Philip Frost reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 85 minutes into the game, ΑΣΤΕΡΑΣ's Ollie Davey nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Philip Frost made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Gregory Patten hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Vince Duckworth sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Philip Frost showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ivan Turner, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. When the match had gone on for 92 minutes, Ivan Turner put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Philip Frost. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. ΑΣΤΕΡΑΣ had won after a very even match.
