Elior Geva was extremely unlucky when he, in the 29th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Ofer Harlev kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. When Armin Alwaya came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the AE Vélez Sarsfield FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Armin Alwaya couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Meier F.C. defense, Armin Alwaya kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Freddy Parente. The Meier F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Freddy Parente should have stopped the shot. After the first half AE Vélez Sarsfield FC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Meier F.C.'s Freddy Parente played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armin Alwaya in the 75th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Meier F.C.'s zone, Hasiel Machnes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Freddy Parente came out of the goal and Hasiel Machnes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Armin Alwaya in the 80th minute of play forced Meier F.C.'s goalkeeper Freddy Parente to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hasiel Machnes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Freddy Parente showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armin Alwaya, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Armin Alwaya in the 89th minute of play forced Meier F.C.'s goalkeeper Freddy Parente to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
