But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sagi Alcobi couldn't finish the play. In the 9th minute Sagi Alcobi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Telem Burton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 11 minutes, Mor Eskeles put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Telem Burton. בני יהודה's Zeelon Elshtein got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mor Eskeles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zeelon Elshtein made a kick off. Telem Burton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sagi Alcobi in the 54th minute of the match. Benny Levitski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zeelon Elshtein in the 56th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zeelon Elshtein in the 58th minute of play forced Haruzim's goalkeeper Benny Levitski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zeelon Elshtein in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benny Levitski prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 69 minutes, Eliyahu Stadner mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Haruzim and the בני יהודה players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of בני יהודה booed when Haruzim was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliyahu Stadner didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Haruzim eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
