In the 9th minute Robbie Lerner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eliyav Arnold saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 21st minute, Gadi Margolis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Malcam Natkin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Arion Gollander received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Jimmy Ravid tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 33 played minutes Hapoel Soviet FC got a freekick which was hit by Yanai Nathan. 34 minutes into the match, YB Yafo's Gaby Eisen broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 35th match minute, Hapoel Soviet FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yevorach Zitzer to maneuver through the defense. Eliyav Arnold showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Avinoach March, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Zac Sheinberg's late challenge caught a Hapoel Soviet FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zac Sheinberg helped the player get up and apologised. Zac Sheinberg kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Eliyav Arnold didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Robbie Lerner went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Arion Gollanders short, quick shot in the 45thth minute got Jimmy Ravid to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Jimmy Ravid showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yoach Cotton in the 48th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
YB Yafo made a substitution. Yechiel Josephson replaced Ayalon Rokhlin. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Robbie Lerner to make the kick off. Robbie Lerner scored 0-2 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eliyav Arnold, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Yoach Cotton during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of YB Yafo booed when Hapoel Soviet FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yoach Cotton didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eliyav Arnold made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Malcam Natkin sent off a good shot on target. Hapoel Soviet FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 59th minute, when Robbie Lerner scored to the left of an out of position Eliyav Arnold, making the score, 0-3. In the 64th minute, Yanai Nathan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hapoel Soviet FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Jericho Dangerfield charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jericho Dangerfield the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, YB Yafo's Jericho Dangerfield got a free kick in the 69th minute. Eliyav Arnold was out of position in the 75 minute of play, and Avinoach March capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Avinoach March really showed his touch with that goal: 1-4. 78 minutes into the game, Benzion Haberman cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-5. Eliyav Arnold was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 86th minute Robbie Lerner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eliyav Arnold saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jimmy Ravid took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arion Gollander, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Malcam Natkin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eliyav Arnold having to interfere. When Imri Shortzberg fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hapoel Soviet FC's protests and gave Imri Shortzberg a yellow card for diving instead. Imri Shortzberg hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Hapoel Soviet FC's Eliyav Arnold got control of the ball when Avinoach March tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to YB Yafo getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Jericho Dangerfield hit a great ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched YB Yafo eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
