Eleftherios Alexidis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 13 minutes into the game, Dimitris Kazantzis recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Eleftherios Alexidis. Dimitris Kazantzis showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ilias Alexopoulos in the 16th minute of play forced piroski's goalkeeper Kosmas Maloumidis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eleftherios Alexidis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kostas Vlassiadis in the 18th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Chrisostomos Nikolaou made the kick off in the second half. Kosmas Maloumidis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chrisostomos Nikolaou in the 52nd minute of the match. If Kostas Vlassiadis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Kostas Vlassiadis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eleftherios Alexidis having to interfere. The supporters of piroski booed when Strofyliakos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ilias Alexopoulos didn't get a good kick on the ball. 90 minutes into the match, piroski's Kyriakos Bikas broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After a rather tough play, piroski's Panos Karantasios got a free kick in the 92nd minute. piroski's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
