Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kostas Makris in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Apostolis Douzas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Apostolis Douzas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Giannis Kyriakoulis, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Takis Apostolakos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dimitris Kalivrousis in the 25th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Kostas Makris's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Apostolis Douzas was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. Apostolis Douzas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Giannis Kyriakoulis in the 30th minute of the match. Grigoris Farmakis's shot from long distance in the 34th minute was not bad at all, but alexander the great's Takis Apostolakos knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. Apostolis Douzas came out of the goal and Giannis Kyriakoulis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Nikos Fyssas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Avesalσs FC's Apostolis Douzas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Giannis Kyriakoulis in the 48th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kostas Makris made a kick off. In the 57thth minute of the game Giannis Kyriakoulis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Avesalσs FC's Apostolis Douzas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Giannis Kyriakoulis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A sloppy throw-in by Leonidas Lebesis in the 63rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by alexander the great's Kostas Dimopoulos. Giannis Kyriakoulis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Apostolis Douzas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 76th minute Giannis Kyriakoulis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Apostolis Douzas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 78 minutes into the game, Eleftherios Adamos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Avesalσs FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave alexander the great the free kick. The supporters of alexander the great booed when Avesalσs FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eleftherios Adamos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alekos Kaplanopoulos was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 79th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. 82 minutes into the match, alexander the great's goal looked a bit too open when Dimitris Kalivrousis came free, but Takis Apostolakos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Giannis Kyriakoulis kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Apostolis Douzas. That made the score 0-3 in the 84 minute of play. 87 minutes into the match, Avesalσs FC's goal looked a bit too open when Giannis Kyriakoulis came free, but Apostolis Douzas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Giorgos Papagiannoulis kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Kostas Makris fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Apostolis Douzas having to interfere. Apostolis Douzas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giannis Kyriakoulis in the 97th minute of play.
