Nontas Tokalidis had several of the Byzantium's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 23 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Christos Fragou as he didn't even see the shot coming. If Theodosis Rapanakis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Byzantium's Fotis Pentaras got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nontas Tokalidis struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Christos Fragou didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Perdikáki. Nontas Tokalidis who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 40thth minute tested the skills of Christos Fragou when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Takis Melonakos hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Theodosis Rapanakis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Byzantium's supporters rose to their feet, but Theodosis Rapanakis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kostas Stergallas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nontas Tokalidis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 48th minute of the match, but Christos Fragou made a huge save. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Theodosis Rapanakis was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fotis Pentaras got free with Kostas Stergallas in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Aris Xidas struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Kostas Stergallas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Byzantium. In the 56th minute, Perdikáki's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Fotis Pentaras fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Kostas Stergallas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Theodosis Rapanakis in the 63rd minute of the match. With an all-out effort, Byzantium's Kostas Stergallas threw himself towards the right post 70 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Theodosis Rapanakis, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. A collision led to Perdikáki getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Kostas Dilberis hit a great ball. Aris Xidas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Perdikáki booed when Byzantium was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Efthimis Milonopoulos didn't get a good kick on the ball. 86 minutes into the match, Perdikáki's goal looked a bit too open when Aris Xidas came free, but Kostas Stergallas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 87 played minutes Perdikáki got a freekick which was hit by Kostas Dilberis. Fotis Pentaras who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 90thth minute tested the skills of Kostas Stergallas when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Efthimis Milonopoulos charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Efthimis Milonopoulos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Byzantium's Efthimis Milonopoulos got a free kick in the 96th minute. 97 minutes into the match, Byzantium's goal looked a bit too open when Renos Katsarolidis came free, but Christos Fragou reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Perdikáki support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
