In the 13thth minute of the game Timos Kidoniatis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Khamilon BC's Timos Maratos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Petros Papakostas charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Petros Papakostas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Khamilon BC booed when Rizovoúni was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Petros Papakostas didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 18th minute of the match Apostolikas Papadimitriou sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pantelis Tochouroglou skillfully saved the ball. Timos Maratos was out of position in the 22 minute of play, and Marios Mouraitidis capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Marios Mouraitidis really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Timos Kidoniatis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fotis Skouras got free with Timos Maratos in the 48th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Iakovos Mountakis was the one to do the kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Orestis Leontaras dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Pantelis Tochouroglou, 1-2. When Thomas Tsoumas came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Rizovoúni fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Thomas Tsoumas couldn't finish the play. In the 66th match minute, Khamilon BC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dimitris Kakogiannis to maneuver through the defense. Timos Maratos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Timos Kidoniatis's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. Ignatios Bozidis kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Khamilon BC's zone, Timos Kidoniatis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat.
