But to his dismay, Theagenis Zacharakis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Theagenis Zacharakis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Makas FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Theagenis Zacharakis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Apostolos Soufleris breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 17 minutes into the match, Beilerli BC's goalkeeper Apostolos Soufleris had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Theagenis Zacharakis. 19 minutes into the game, Vaggelis Galopoulos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Beilerli BC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Makas FC the free kick. Tasos Soulogiannis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Apostolos Soufleris having to interfere. If Panagiotis Dimakis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Panagiotis Dimakis in the 31st minute of play forced Makas FC's goalkeeper Kostas Fragos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Christoforos Manouselis hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Alexandros Karachristos took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kostas Fragos. Kostas Fragos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. If Theagenis Zacharakis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Beilerli BC's Apostolos Soufleris proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Beilerli BC from getting a goal against them. Theagenis Zacharakis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Apostolos Soufleris tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 46th minute of the game. One of Beilerli BC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Makas FC:s goal. Menelaos Droumalias walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tasos Soulogiannis made a kick off. After 54 minutes Beilerli BC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Menelaos Droumalias who took care of the corner kick. Menelaos Droumalias made a great header on Makas FC's corner, it was just that Beilerli BC's Apostolos Soufleris managed to reach the ball for a save. Theagenis Zacharakis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Theagenis Zacharakis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Apostolos Soufleris having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Makas FC's Christoforos Manouselis got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Apostolos Soufleris took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tasos Soulogiannis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tasos Soulogiannis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Theagenis Zacharakis might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Apostolos Soufleris. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Theagenis Zacharakis ran back to his position shaking his head. Beilerli BC's Panagiotis Dimakis got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kostas Fragos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Panagiotis Dimakis in the 77th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Beilerli BC's Alexandros Pavlidis got a free kick in the 80th minute. In the 85th match minute, Beilerli BC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vaggelis Galopoulos to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Thrasivoulos Lazarakoglou during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 87 played minutes Beilerli BC got a freekick which was hit by Thrasivoulos Lazarakoglou. In the 95th minute, Alexandros Karachristos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
