The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Walery Leper in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Minas Skiadopoulos saved Mesa Didyma from getting behind. Apostolis Papadogiannakis kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Mesa Didyma's Vaggelis Spetsarias got a free kick in the 8th minute. 10 minutes into the match, Walery Leper had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Minas Skiadopoulos. Mesa Didyma's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Walery Leper was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Mesa Didyma's Minas Skiadopoulos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Walery Leper in the 14th minute of play. The supporters of Olympios FC booed when Mesa Didyma was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Minas Karasavvidis didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 18 played minutes Walery Leper rounded Mesa Didyma's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-0. When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, Walery Leper put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Minas Skiadopoulos. In the 31st minute, Errikos Fyssas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 32 minutes into the match, Mesa Didyma's goal looked a bit too open when Apostolis Papadogiannakis came free, but Minas Skiadopoulos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 43 minutes, Konstantinos Voliotis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Olympios FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Konstantinos Voliotis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Walery Leper in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Minas Skiadopoulos saved Mesa Didyma from getting behind. Walery Leper made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 45thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Minas Skiadopoulos would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 53rd minute, Orlando Ramalho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Theofanis Lazaratos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Vaios Irinopoulos made a huge save. Olympios FC made a substitution. Stratos Apostolopoulos replaced Errikos Giakoumakis. In the 60th minute of the match Olympios FC got a corner. Mesa Didyma's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Orlando Ramalho ran over to the corner to take the kick. Mesa Didyma's Minas Skiadopoulos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Walery Leper in the 63rd minute of play. Orlando Ramalho kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Olympios FC's Akis Labirikos was substituted for Apostolis Papadogiannakis. Sakis Zaimis lost his temper 71 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Nikiforos Tsantirakis struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Vaios Irinopoulos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mesa Didyma. Errikos Fyssas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Vaios Irinopoulos made a huge save. In the 92nd minute Akis Labirikos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Minas Skiadopoulos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Olympios FC's Akis Labirikos got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Mesa Didyma booed when Olympios FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stratos Apostolopoulos didn't get a good kick on the ball.
