Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dimitris Tsagarakis during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Dimitris Tsagarakis hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Dimitris Tsagarakis came free with the goalkeeper in the 11th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Tasos Petras could save by the left post. Sotos Tatsidis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kyriakos Vasiliadis went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Kyriakos Vasiliadis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sotos Tatsidis having to interfere. When Nikos Sakallieros fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kharavyν's protests and gave Nikos Sakallieros a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Kharavyν getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Nikos Sakallieros hit a great ball. When Nikos Bolirakis came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the FC UNIVERSITATEA CRAIOVA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nikos Bolirakis couldn't finish the play. In the 19thth minute of the game Nikos Bolirakis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kharavyν's Sotos Tatsidis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Kyriakos Vasiliadis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 30th minute of the game. One of Kharavyν:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of FC UNIVERSITATEA CRAIOVA:s goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kyriakos Stavrakas in the 37th minute of play forced FC UNIVERSITATEA CRAIOVA's goalkeeper Tasos Petras to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 42 minutes into the match, Kharavyν's goal looked a bit too open when Kyriakos Vasiliadis came free, but Sotos Tatsidis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Kharavyν's Nikos Sakallieros got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Sotos Tatsidis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kyriakos Vasiliadis, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. After the first half FC UNIVERSITATEA CRAIOVA were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nikos Bolirakis to strike the kick off in the second half. Nikos Bolirakis might have been able to make a better finish in the 51st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sotos Tatsidis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nikos Bolirakis ran back to his position shaking his head. 54 minutes had been played when some careless play by Kharavyν's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Akis Alamanos was slow to take the kick. During this time FC UNIVERSITATEA CRAIOVA's players had a chance to rest. After a rather tough play, FC UNIVERSITATEA CRAIOVA's Iason Samaris got a free kick in the 55th minute. Tasos Petras made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kyriakos Stavrakas in the 58th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Nikos Bolirakis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sotos Tatsidis was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. In the 62nd match minute, Kharavyν was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dimitris Sardanis to maneuver through the defense. Through an outstanding action, after 64 minutes, Sotos Tatsidis successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. A hard shot 69 in the game by Kyriakos Vasiliadis from a close distance when the talented Sotos Tatsidis managed to make a qualified save. Kharavyν's players were relieved. Sotos Tatsidis made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Kyriakos Vasiliadis sent off a good shot on target. In the 78th minute, Dimitris Tsagarakis made a precise shot to the right of Tasos Petras. FC UNIVERSITATEA CRAIOVA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-4. In the 82nd minute, Kyriakos Vasiliadis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sotos Tatsidis was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-5. If Nikos Bolirakis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 88th minute, Kyriakos Vasiliadis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC UNIVERSITATEA CRAIOVA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-6. Sotos Tatsidis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nikos Bolirakis in the 91st minute of play. In the 92nd minute, FC UNIVERSITATEA CRAIOVA's Kyriakos Vasiliadis dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-7. After 96 minutes, Menios Perdikouris mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kharavyν and the FC UNIVERSITATEA CRAIOVA players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of FC UNIVERSITATEA CRAIOVA booed when Kharavyν was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Menios Perdikouris didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 97th minute Iason Samaris managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal.
