Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Charalambos Keratomenos made the kick off and thus started the match. Aggelos Staramopoulos hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. An unexpected shot in the 4th minute by Nektarios Koubouris got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Kostas Batiris took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kyriakos Stavrakas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aggelos Staramopoulos kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. 12 minutes into the match, Riverpool's goal looked a bit too open when Kyriakos Stavrakas came free, but Kostas Batiris reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Charalambos Keratomenos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dimitris Sardanis charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dimitris Sardanis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 33rd minute, Dimitris Sardanis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kharavyν's Kleon Polymeris shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 49th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Kostas Batiris but with some difficulty. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Aggelos Staramopoulos got free with Sotos Tatsidis in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Charalambos Keratomenos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Riverpool's zone, Kyriakos Stavrakas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kostas Batiris came out of the goal and Kyriakos Stavrakas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Marcelinho do Valle came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Riverpool fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcelinho do Valle couldn't finish the play. Charalambos Keratomenos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 71 minutes into the match, Riverpool's goal looked a bit too open when Kyriakos Stavrakas came free, but Kostas Batiris reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kostas Batiris showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dimitris Tsagarakis, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. In the 74th match minute, Kharavyν was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Menios Perdikouris to maneuver through the defense. In the 79th minute of the match Stamatis Kouroupetsoglou shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kostas Batiris showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Aggelos Staramopoulos kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Sotos Tatsidis. That made the score 0-2 in the 82 minute of play. In the 86th minute, Marcelinho do Valle fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 89th minute, Aggelos Staramopoulos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Charalambos Keratomenos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 97 minutes Kharavyν's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Thomas Konstantinou who took care of the corner kick. In the 99th minute of the match Riverpool got a corner. Kharavyν's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Thomas Konstantinou ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Riverpool's Stefanos Pappagiorgas to fire away a dangerous shot which Sotos Tatsidis despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Riverpool's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
