Miltiadis Vournas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valerios Vrontakis, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. After 24 played minutes, Mesoúnta BC's Giotis Katsoulakis shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Miltiadis Vournas came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. In the 42nd minute Valerios Vrontakis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miltiadis Vournas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Mesoúnta BC defense, Dimitris Stavratos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Apostolos Stroggilos. The Mesoúnta BC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Apostolos Stroggilos should have stopped the shot.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dorotheos Kabolis was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dorotheos Kabolis in the 75th minute of play forced Vνli's goalkeeper Miltiadis Vournas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mesoúnta BC's Apostolos Stroggilos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isidoros Bonovas in the 78th minute of play. Isidoros Bonovas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Apostolos Stroggilos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 83rdth minute of the game Isidoros Bonovas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mesoúnta BC's Apostolos Stroggilos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Konstantinos Psichogiopoulos fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mesoúnta BC's protests and gave Konstantinos Psichogiopoulos a yellow card for diving instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Markos Kamateros managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vνli's supporters rose to their feet, but Markos Kamateros was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Apostolos Stroggilos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Valerios Vrontakis got free with Miltiadis Vournas in the 97th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
