Viktoras Tzouroudis took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Concetto Basilico. Concetto Basilico dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Prokopis Perdikas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Giorgos Trofantos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pansitiakos F.C's Giorgos Trofantos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Prokopis Perdikas in the 20th minute of play. A collision led to Pansitiakos F.C getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Tasos Kaliris hit a great ball. Giorgos Trofantos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Prokopis Perdikas, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. In the 27th minute Stelios Bertsis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giorgos Trofantos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Pansitiakos F.C's Tasos Kaliris got a free kick in the 34th minute. Prokopis Perdikas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giorgos Trofantos having to interfere. In the 41st minute, Charis Karamanis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Stelios Bertsis in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Giorgos Trofantos saved Pansitiakos F.C from getting behind. Tasos Kaliris kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Concetto Basilico made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lambis Kyriakidis in the 48th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Giorgos Trofantos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 62 minutes into the match, REMAL MADRID's Stelios Bertsis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Giorgos Trofantos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some careless play in the Pansitiakos F.C defense, Prokopis Perdikas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Giorgos Trofantos. The Pansitiakos F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Giorgos Trofantos should have stopped the shot. Concetto Basilico made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Viktoras Tzouroudis sent off a good shot on target. In the 71st minute, Prokopis Perdikas made a precise shot to the right of Giorgos Trofantos. Pansitiakos F.C's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. REMAL MADRID fully deserved thier win.
