After 10 played minutes, Omalon's Stelios Kouroupetzoglou shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Aris Fragakis came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Omalon reached it. In the 16thth minute of the game Miltiadis Markopoulos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Omalon's Giorgos Chomatas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Miltiadis Markopoulos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 26 minutes into the match, Omalon's goal looked a bit too open when Lakis Labrousis came free, but Giorgos Chomatas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aris Fragakis came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Omalon's Achilleas Tsirimonakis. But to his dismay, Achilleas Tsirimonakis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Omalon's Thodoris Stavrakakis got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Valentinos Stergioudas kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. After 35 minutes, Stelios Kouroupetzoglou mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Omalon and the ΑΡΗΣ ΝΑ ΓΟΥΣΤΑΡΕΙΣ players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 35th match minute, Omalon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stelios Kouroupetzoglou to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Miltiadis Markopoulos managed to get in a good position for a shot. ΑΡΗΣ ΝΑ ΓΟΥΣΤΑΡΕΙΣ's supporters rose to their feet, but Miltiadis Markopoulos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Giorgos Chomatas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Aris Fragakis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Thodoris Stavrakakis's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. When Aris Prikourakis fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Omalon's protests and gave Aris Prikourakis a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Omalon getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Aris Prikourakis hit a great ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Giannis Sofos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Giorgos Chomatas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Giannis Sofos in the 55th minute of play forced Omalon's goalkeeper Giorgos Chomatas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 57th minute, Giannis Sofos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ΑΡΗΣ ΝΑ ΓΟΥΣΤΑΡΕΙΣ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Aris Fragakis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thodoris Stavrakakis, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. In the 69th minute Periklis Touchakis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aris Fragakis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
